Yvonne Jones, MP for Labrador officially announced today that she has obtained intervenor status for the upcoming Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities (PUB) public hearings on the proposed hydro rate increases in Labrador. Ms. Jones pointed out, the voice of Labradorians need to be at those hearings.
“I am proud to have been granted intervenor status at these most important hearings and I am determined to ensure the voice of the Labrador people is heard loud and clear,” said Ms.Jones. “While Labrador is a beautiful and bountiful region, it can be expensive to live here. I will do my utmost to represent the people of Labrador at these hearings and I will fight these proposed rate hikes with all my energy.”
Public hearings are scheduled start on Tuesday, February 11, at 10:00 a.m.
