Thursday October 27th, Yvonne Jones, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs speaks to Bill S-208: National Seal Products Day Act.

This Bill shows support to Inuit, other Indigenous peoples, rural, northern, and coastal non Indigenous people for whom seal harvesting is a deep cultural and economic traditional activity. For many, selling of seal products helps support the harvest which is a key piece of food security, particularly in the north.
