The Labrador Francophone Association is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to protect the French language in Western Labrador and to promote the development of the Francophonie in this region while encouraging Canadian bilingualism.
Canadian Heritage, through the Development of Official-Language Communities Program, is pleased to provide ongoing support by funding their programming for more than 25 years as well as one-time projects. Today’s announcement will see that programming continue with stable, two year funding of $228,000.
L’Association francophone du Labrador est un organisme à but non lucratif ayant pour mandat de protéger la langue française dans l’Ouest du Labrador et promouvoir l’épanouissement de la francophonie de cette région tout en encourageant le bilinguisme canadien.
Patrimoine canadien, par l’entremise du programme « Développement des communautés de langue officielle », apporte un soutien continu en finançant leur programmation depuis un très grand nombre d’années ainsi que des projets ponctuels. Le demandeur a une bonne capacité à mener ses projets à terme et démontre de bons résultats au niveau de leur programmation annuelle.
