Passing of Keith Thomas Rumbolt

It is with deep sadness and heartache that we announce the accidental death of Keith Thomas Rumbolt of Lodge Bay NL.
Keith was a loving husband to Cheryl-lynn and proud father to Hailey and Colin.
Keith spent his career as a fisherman and over 30 of those years fishing with the Labrador fisherman’s Union Shrimp Company on there offshore fleet of vessels. He took tremendous pride in both his work and the company he was a part of. He had a close relationship with his coworkers and with all of those he served with.
Keith was the Mayor of Lodge Bay, Labrador and a strong leader in his community and in Labrador. Over the years he actively served on the Battle Harbour Development Association, the Labrador Fishermans Union Shrimp Company, the NunatuKavut Community Council and many other organizations over that time including the local volunteer Fire Brigade.
Keith was a friend to all those that he met his kind and caring ways spread to every corner of the world that he touched. His friends and family were very important to him and he cherished those relationships. He grew up on the land and on the water he was a master navigator, a skilled hunter and the happiest moments of his life was spent doing the things he loved with the people he loved. He truly was a Son of Labrador and he was very proud of his Homeland.
The date of a memorial service will be announced within the next few days and will be held at Marys Harbour, NL.

Keith will be forever missed by his wife Cheryl-lynn nee: Pye his daughter Hailey (Christopher Hicks) his son Colin, his mother Barbara, Sisters Nancy Normore (Bernard Cabot) Yvonne Rumbolt Jones (Joseph Lanzon) Sherry Rumbolt, brother Bradley Rumbolt (Andrea Cumby) His nieces and nephews many family and friends. He loved all those in his life. He was predeceased by his father Lawrence Rumbolt and his nephew Matthew Boyton today they are reunited.
