Federal Government Invests $1 million to St. Lewis Multi-Purpose Centre Project

For any community, having a place to gather and connect with friends and neighbours is important to its growth. Today, the town of St. Lewis received further support from the federal government to build a multi-purpose centre in the community.
On behalf of Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, Melanie Joly, Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament for Labrador, announced an investment nearly $1 million towards the town’s project advancing its progress.
The St. Lewis Gathering Place will provide amenities, social programs, and other community resources for residents. MP Jones advocated for the centre which received funding through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency(ACOA).
