FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENTS INVEST $250,000 TO SUPPORT VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY
Every Canadian deserves a safe place to call home.
Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament for Labrador, was joined by Lisa Dempster, Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation and Labrador Affairs, to announce today a cost-shared investment of $250,000 through the Provincial Housing and Homelessness Partnership Fund (PHHPF).
This investment will increase housing capacity for low-income households with a focus on at-risk populations.
Happy Valley Goose Bay Town Council and town residents were present to witness the announcement and discuss the community project.
Part of the National Housing Strategy launched in 2017, the PHHPF is designed to support projects throughout the province which leverage partnerships and strengthen capacity of the community housing sector to provide housing options for low-income households.
